Covid-19 Update

* NJFO New Year's Eve and New Year's Day Update

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS for Steppin' Back Out

Vaccination

Audience members 12 years of age or older must be fully vaccinated with an authorized COVID-19 vaccine, and children between the ages of 5 and 11 must have at least one dose. All visitors will be required to show in-person proof of vaccination upon entering the building.

Those who are not able to be vaccinated will be permitted to attend Steppin’ Back out with full proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the performance.

Mask

As a tool to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19, NJFO highly recommends proper mask usage at all times while in the performance venue.

Arrival protocol

WHS auditorium and lobby area will open at 6pm, one hour prior to the performance start time. We strongly encourage arriving a minimum of 30 minutes prior to curtain to avoid long entrance lines.

We ask that patrons with right side tickets enter through the right entrance outside door and patrons with left side tickets enter through left entrance outside door. Where possible, patrons with center block tickets 101-105 enter right, and those with 106-110 enter left.

COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

Facts and questions related to the cancellation and rescheduling of concerts impacted by the (COVID-19) coronavirus pandemic.

Have the March and June concerts been cancelled or rescheduled?
Almost all of our distinguished guest singers and soloists who were originally scheduled to appear in March and May have committed to partnering with us once again in the 21-22 season. We are therefore planning to reschedule both events (Opera’s Ultimate Odd Couple and Russian Nights with pianist Andrew Tyson.)

I have tickets to a cancelled or rescheduled event, what do I do?
We would like to offer you the following options regarding your concert tickets:

  • Exchange your tickets for any performance in the 2021–22 season. We are happy to offer flexible ticket exchanges and waive all exchange fees.

  • Donate your ticket as a tax-deductible contribution. As a nonprofit arts organization, the NJFO relies on the audiences we serve, and in these challenging times, we need your support more than ever. By donating your tickets, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire and connect our communities.

If you would like to discus your ticket options or have questions, please contact NJFO Patron Services at patronservices@njfestivalorchestra.org or 908-232-9400. Due to the Covid-19 situation, you may experience a delay but please be assured that we will return your calls and emails as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

When will the new 2021-2022 season be announced?
NJFO will continue to monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New Jersey Department of Health and our venue partners about this global health pandemic, and we will announce concerts, events and community activities once we are confident a safe environment can be shared by everyone. We will shortly be announcing a wonderful new season program, scheduled to begin, as usual, in October. Please stay tuned for details.

What are you doing to ensure the safety of patrons?
The health and well being of our patrons, musicians, guest artists, volunteers and staff is our foremost consideration as we prepare for the 2021-2022 season. We will be working closely with local health experts and officials as well as our venue partners to develop and implement plans for a set of concert protocols that incorporates all recommended health and safety guidelines. We will provide a comprehensive list of the safety precautions NJFO will be taking to ensure your well being.

When will tickets for the new season go on sale?
Tickets for concerts, events and community activities will go on sale once we are confident that our concert safety protocols can be fully implemented and a safe performance environment can be shared by everyone. Please stay tuned for details.

What happens if tickets go on sale for the new 21-22 season and a performance has to be cancelled?
If an event needs to be rescheduled or cancelled, we will let you know as soon as possible, providing you with the choice of a flexible, no fees ticket exchange or donation opportunity.

What if I buy tickets for an event and then decide that I don’t feel comfortable attending?
We will continue to offer flexible ticket exchanges based on the situation at that time. Simply email NJFO Patron Services or call 908-232-9400 to exchange your ticket(s) for a future performance.

How can I continue to support NJ Festival Orchestra?

  • Make a donation

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generous support of our members and donors to help fulfill our mission – now more than ever! At this extraordinary moment in history, your support has never been more important. Thank you.

  • Purchase a gift certificate

Treat your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to the special joy of live music! Or show your appreciation to our frontline workers with a gift of music! NJFO gift certificates never expire.
